This may seem like an obvious one, but if your surfing the internet, make sure you have antivirus on your laptop or desktop, or make sure the one you have is current in updates and that the subscription has not expired. Once it's expired it is no longer protecting your computer. If you can't swing that $40-$80 fee (depending on the Antivirus provider you are using) here are a few free options: AVG Free Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials Avast! Free Antivirus I run two of these on my own computer, but also make sure to surf the internet safely, there are some nasty viruses out there.
