(Photo Credit: CNET.com) Yesterday at the MWC, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung unvelied the new Galaxy S5. There isn't a wow factor when it comes to the actual design of the phone, but it has a few new bells and whistles. There's a heart rate monitor and they've incorporated fingerprint scanning into this model. There are some slight interface differences in terms of the menu as it is running Android's latest mobile OS, KitKat. Probably one of the most noted features is that the S5 is designed against the military spec IP67, it's waterproof (it can be in water up to 30 minutes at about 3 feet deep) and it's dust-proof. Other wise the specs are quite similar to the S4 but not in a bad way, those that were are expecting a huge change..well welcome to how most of us Apple iPhone users feel. The device is set to go on sale April 11th and will be available through T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, MetroPCS and U.S. Cellular. No pricing information is available but I expect it to follow their usual pricing structure, but will update you when I know more. It's a solid showing from Samsung, but not what most users were expecting. ~ChicDivaGeek
